June Meeting Minutes

June 3, 2024
The meeting was called to order with the Pledge to the Flag. There were 4 citizens, and 5 board members present.
Minutes to the meeting were presented for review. A motion to accept the minutes was made by  R Scheurer and supported by A Hengesbach. Motion carried.
Correspondence: There was no correspondence.
Cemetery:  The Spaulding Cemetery and the Lyons Twp Cemetery look great.
Public comment:  There was no public comment.
Treasurer’s report:  A motion to accept the treasurer’s report as presented was made by A Hengesbach and supported by R Scheurer. Motion carried.
Bills in the amount of $29,016.73 to the general fund were presented for payment. A motion to pay the bills was made by R Scheurer and supported by A Hengesbach. Motion carried.
TWP Business: The Portland Ambulance Contract was read. This contract is being tabled until we can have the Director of Portland Ambulance come to a meeting and discuss why the price per capita is going up $10 over last year’s price.
C Babcock had a bill for patch work done in Marsh Ridge that was done last October. C Babcock will get the information for the HOA in March Ridge to send them this bill.
Gravel is being put on roads in the next week or so.
A motion to have the individual mow the 46.6 miles of gravel roads in Lyons Twp. for $3300 was made by R Scheurer and supported by A Hengesbach. Motion carried. This is usually done every other year.
There was a window shot in J Thelen’s office this past month. The police officers were called, and a report was made. There were several places that had window shot out in both Lyons and Muir. The window should be fixed before the next meeting.
Our next meeting will be July 8th, 2024 @ 5:30 instead of the 1st.
A motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:27 was made by A Hengesbach and supported by R. Scheurer. Motion carried.
