April Meeting Minutes (held on March 29, 2021)

​                                                     LYONS TWP REG. MEETING
March 29, 2021
The meeting was called to order with the Pledge to the Flag.  There were 2 citizens, and 4 board members present.  A Hengesbach was absent.
Minutes to the meeting were presented for review.  A motion to accept the minutes with changing the word dis to did in cemetery comments was made by R Scheurer and supported by J Thelen.  Motion carried.
Correspondence: There was no correspondence.
Cemetery:  There was no cemetery comment.
Public comment:  There was no public comment.
Treasurer’s report:  A motion to accept the treasurer’s report as presented was made by R Scheurer and supported by J Heckman.   Motion carried.
Bills in the amount of $30,232.28 to the general fund and $4,976.98 to the building fund were presented for payment.  A motion to pay the bills was made by R Scheurer and supported by J Thelen.  Motion carried.
TWP Business:  R Scheurer moves to charge $75 per parcel for 1st split and $50 per parcel every split after the 1st split supported by J Heckman.
J Heckman made a motion to not accept the Gradall agreement from ICRD supported by R Scheurer.  Motion carried.
 A motion to accept the election workers named by J Heckman was made by J Thelen and supported by R Scheurer.  Motion carried.
Building:  The bids came in for the remodeling of the new office: Sandborn Builders@ $55,898.00, Milestone Construction @ $82,565.00, Tom Bennett Residential Builder @ $44,192.  A motion to accept Tom Bennett’s bid to remodel the new TWP. Office within 8 weeks with the stipulation of a $100.00 penalty per day if not done on time was made by R Scheurer and supported by J Heckman. A roll call vote was taken: R Scheurer yes, J Thelen yes, C Babcock yes, and J Heckman yes. A Hengesbach is absent.  Motion carried.
R Scheurer brought up paying for the survey we had done on Chad Listerman’s land. C Babcock said he would talk to Chad about the survey.
A motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 was made by J Thelen and supported by J R Scheurer. Motion carried.
