The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Supervisor Babcock with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Board members present were: J. Heckman, R. Scheurer, J. Thelen, T. Thelen. Absent: None. Three citizens were present.
Minutes of the meeting of October 1, 2018 were presented for review. A motion by Scheurer to accept the minutes as corrected with the addition of $64.80 in payments made from the Building Fund for a total of $4447.30. Motion supported by T. Thelen. Motion carried. Correspondence: None Cemetery: Sexton B. Russell reported one burial last month, no lot sales, one appointment. Continued cleaning up debris. Williams Asphalt have started on cemetery roads. Weather permitting, work will be completed on the following day. TREASURER’S REPORT: A motion to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented was made by T. Thelen and supported by R. Scheurer. Motion carried. Treasurer J. Thelen reported the Certificate of Deposit at Union Bank has been designated in title for cemetery care. Clerk Heckman reported that billings have been sent for First Responder and Fire Response. Bills in the amount of $21,595.38 to the General Fund and $1,664.25 to the Building Fund were presented for payment. A motion to pay the bills was made by T. Thelen and supported by R. Scheurer. Motion carried. TOWNSHIP BUSINESS: Lyons Township Library requests the approval of Hana Pung to continue as Library Trustee for another four year term. Motion to confirm as requested by T. Thelen, supported by Supervisor Babcock. Motion carried. Clerk J. Heckman informed the Board of a First Responder run to a residence. Due to the result of no action needed, the Board agreed to not bill. It was brought to the attention of the Board that assessment reviews were being conducted in the township without advanced notice to residents and also being completed beyond normal business hours. OTHER TOWNSHIP BUSINESS: Sealed bid from Wickham Cemetery Care was opened for review. No other bids were received. After discussion, no action was taken. Discussion of bid was tabled until December 3rd meeting. BUILDING FUND: Supervisor Babcock reported the rental income from Riverbank Treasures was received as in rental agreement.
